**Job description**:

- Pro-actively identify risks, variance to plan and discuss the impact of these
- Engaging in the optimisation of mechanised development process to ensure continuous alignment to best practice standards
- Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
- Identifying, initiating and commence improvement projects to increase operational efficiencies with continuous improvement at all times
- Engaging in the optimisation of decline shaft development process to ensure continuous alignment to best practice standards
- Keeping employees positive and motivated at all times, lead by example

**Minimum requirements**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
- Drill Rig Operator Certificate
- Load Haul Dumper and Dump Truck operating license
- Valid EB Driver's License
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
- At least 4 years drilling experience on a trackless mining operation
- Extensive working experience in shaft sinking as a Drill Master
- Experience in operating Dump Trucks and Load Haul Dumpers
- Experience in training Drill Operators and monitoring their performance
- Experience operating a Twin Boom Drill Rig with split feeds, drilling
- Good knowledge and experience of mechanised mining operations
- Proven track record of production achievements
- Operating a Twin Boom drill rig with split feeds, drilling the development end face and capable of installing weld mesh and split sets as well as drilling and installing quick-chem resin bolts with the same machine
- Medically fit for underground work
