Cleaner (Bellville)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
- Clean windows, glass and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- Preparing an efficient cleaning routine
- Keeping all public spaces or environment neat and tidy
- Properly cleaning all sanitary appliances, fittings, and areas daily
- Set up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and suppliers
- Follow procedures for the use of chemicals cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Using general cleaning equipment and chemicals properly
- To wash walls as at when required
- Requisition of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Gather and empty dust bins
- Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to
- Immediately notifying the management of occurring deficiencies or requirements for repairs
- Clean sinks, taps, draining boards and basins in all areas
- Clean each male and females’ toilets
- Making of Tea to visitors
- Performs additional duties as needed

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2 years’ experience of cleaning
- High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
- Adequate knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Available to work mornings and evenings, plus weekends, as needed.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS**:

- Possessing practical cleaning skills is crucial
- Ability to handle a mop, vacuum, and other advance cleaning equipment’s such as steam cleaners and floor buffers care
- Ability to measure cleaning fluids and understand how to handle harsh chemicals with adequate.

**ADVANTAGEOUS**:

- Ability to adapt to change in schedules, with good time management skills.
- The physical ability to bend, reach, stretch, walk, and bend during the daily routine, with the ability to stand for a long period of time
