Confectioner

Experienced Baker with confectionery experience required for day shift operation in Brackenfell at the Backstube Artisan Bakery. Working with a a team of artisan bakers, this is an exciting new role for the successful applicant to demonstrate a flair in creating masterpieces and developing new recipes.

**Responsibilities**
- maintain a high standard of food safety (previous experience in working with a HACCP facility)
- work well under pressure and adhere to deadlines
- assist with costing products
- staff management
- rolls and cuts pastry, stretches, kneads and moulds dough to form bread, rolls and buns
- fills and glazes pastry, mixes ingredients for cakes
- bakes bread, pastry, pizza and cakes
- makes cake decorations, spreads icing, fillings and toppings on products

**Requirements/Qualifications**
- prior experience of at least 3 years in a similar role (non negotiable)
- matric
- Chef/Baking/Other schooling (advantage given)
- contactable references
- own transport

- Brackenfell, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
