**Your Mission**
Amandla is seeking a well-experienced HR professional keen for the challenge of establishing our newly-formed HR department. This individual will have experience running an already-established department at an organisation of a similar size to our 191-strong team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Growing staff morale to provide the most impact for our beneficiaries and to maximise the value of donor contributions
- Team building
- Creating individual personal development plans for staff
- Performance management and review
- Recruitment and onboarding of new staff
- Conflict resolution
**Outputs**
- You’ve created staff personal development plans for 100% of 191 staff in your first six months
- You’ve updated our HR policy and procedures within your first three months
- Developed and implemented a staff wellness plan that makes staff feel seen and essential to be implemented within your first year
- Recruit, hire, and onboard 20 new staff within first six months
**Competencies and Skills**
- Strong ability to think strategically about our wellness goals for staff and to generate appropriate action plan to accomplish those goals
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation
- Exceptional multitasking skills
- Equally comfortable with Microsoft Office products as with adopting relevant performance management and other software tools
- Excellent communication (written and oral)
- Fluent English, preferably also proficient Xhosa and Afrikaans
