**JOB OBJECTIVE**:
The Data Analyst is responsible for performing detailed analyses of large and complex data sets to develop data-driven solutions. The Data Analyst will be responsible for providing data-driven insights in the operational, finance, marketing, and sales departments and the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data to identify opportunities, trends, and patterns that supports decision-making. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for developing models and algorithms to optimize data analysis processes.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work with stakeholders throughout the business to identify opportunities for leveraging internal and external data sources to drive business solutions;
- Extracting, transforming and loading data from various sources into the data warehouse;
- Analysing and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations;
- Developing data models and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making;
- Developing reports to monitor and evaluate performance;
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance;
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure data accuracy and quality;
- Identifying and troubleshooting data errors and issues;
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Perform any other adhoc duties as and when required.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric is essential.
- Tertiary qualification Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent is essential.
- Power BI Microsoft Certification (PL-300).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- 3+ years working experience within Business Intelligence or Data Analysis in FMCG.
- Proven experience in SSQL, Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI (Including, but not limited to Power Query, Power BI Desktop (DAX) and Power BI Service).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with large data sets, ability to write / execute SQL queries to extract, review and interpret.
- Python coding skills would be advantageous.
- Experience in implementing reporting solutions.
- Analytical skills that allow for the development of data driven reports.
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions.
- Experience visualising / presenting data for stakeholders.
- Commercially astute with general knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, processes and information flow.
- A self-starter who is motivated and highly driven.
- Committed to collaborative problem solving and business process optimisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
