Mechanical Draughtsman

An Agricultural Equipment Manufacturing Company based in Samcorpark, Pretoria is seeking a r Draughtsman to start immediately.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reading of various drawings and ability to convert it into a Solidworks package.

Communicate manufacturing schedules to the production and installation departments

Generate complex drawings in Solidworks according to specifications.

Do follow up checks on completed drawings.

Make adjustments on drawings as per feedback from manufacturing, installation and assembly departments, as well as quality control checks

Create Data Packages.

Create cutting files.

Understand the bending, laser, machining and welding procedures and limitations relating to drawn parts vs manufacturable components.

Use of all measuring tools.

Quality control function on manufactured parts.

Identifying various components with regard to drawings to assist production and assembly departments

Assist in minimum inventory level monitoring

Final measurement of installation sites for preparation of layout designs

Preparation of bill of materials and packing lists from drawings

Research and development

Layout development for milling and grain handling systems

Maintenance of current drawings folders.

Support production staff with drawing related information or fitment.

Assist engineering, installation and production managers to reach production and installation targets Ensure daily production/manufacturing targets are reached based on needs of production

**Desired Experience & Qualification**

Solidworks experience - preferably with at least one or all of the following certifications:
CSWE - CAD Design Expert
CSWP - CAD Design Professional
CSWPA-SM - Sheet metal
CSWPA-DT - Drawing tools
CSWA - CAD Design Associate

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in using Measuring Equipment like Tape Measure/Vernier

ProNest or other nesting software experience.

At least 1 year experience in mechanical/design related fields

Detail-oriented and able to work on multiple projects

Drivers license Code B

Pay: R12 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Silverton, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
