SEO Specialist

This dynamic position requires an individual with great SEO and Google Ads skills. This is an in-office position best suited to a mid-level SEO expert who will grow with the company. We offer comprehensive SEO services, and you’ll be responsible for optimising effective strategies for our clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop effective optimisation strategies and link building campaigns to improve client rankings on Google
- Monitor search engine results and search performance to improve rankings
- Review technical SEO issues and recommend and implement fixes
- Plan content development strategies and campaigns (general and key word driven) which align with client’s SEO goals.
- Work with our SEO Copywriter to create and share key-word driven copy, align goals and manage strategies
- Research SEO keywords for a range of clients (to be implemented across their website and in their digital marketing)
- Communicate with team on project details, timelines and development
- Optimize new and existing website content, landing pages and paid search copy
- Implement and manage search engine programmes (XML sitemaps, Webmaster tools, Google Search Console)
- Able to develop client strategies using Google Ads and Google Tag Manager. Must have a good understanding of Google algorithms and Google analytics
- Manage paid advertising campaigns through Google Ads
- Meet with clients to build SEO campaigns that will work with their budgets and result in measurable ROI

**Requirements**:

- Minimum three years of experience in a similar role SEO & Google Specialist
- Good understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
- Experience working in CMS (WordPress) and proficient in JavaScript, PHP & HTML
- Experience with ranking systems (SEMrush or similar) and reporting tools (Google Date Studio of similar)
- Knowledge of current SEO Best Practices (on-page and off-page SEO)
- Knowledge of Google Ads and all that it entails
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and various client needs
- Ability to take charge of the SEO services we will offer to clients as an online marketing agency

**Salary**: R17,000.00 - R19,000.00 per month
