About the role
- The Site HAPS change agent role exists to deploy and embed the HAPS into a site to deliver the Business Strategy and improve Business Performance (Quality, Safety, Service, Cost, and Innovation).
- To improve site performance by leading mini and step change transformation.
- To assist site teams in implementing performance management tools to enable elimination of waste and variation.
Key responsibilities
- Need to understand financial models used to support decision-making.
- Need to understand financial business drivers to support project selection.
- Develop plans to convert financial opportunities into genuine business benefit.
- Establish a series of measurable improvement processes/ ideas.
- Adding value to internal and external customers through the ongoing settling and tracking of performance improvement measures.
- Give feedback on continuous improvement measures and challenge set standards to improve the collective performance.
- Significant interaction with Haleon staff at all levels.
- Liaison with internal and external consultants.
- Management of cross-functional project teams.
- Support day-to-day deployment of the HAPS and performance improvement activities at site.
- Deliver according to the HAPS implementation approach/ road map agreed with the Site Director, Regional HAPS Lead and Site HAPS Lead.
- Work with line managers to identify and agree the priorities for HAPS deployment.
- Support continuous capability development of self and others, developed by the HAPS Core Team.
- Actively role modeling HAPS skills and behaviours.
- Track progress of the team deployment roadmap.
- Support/ ensure consistency of progress and deployment.
- Coach site team leaders and operators to develop and sustain continuous improvement mindsets and behaviours.
- Provide expert advice on the HAPS basics to the site based on an in-depth understanding of HAPS.
- Lead HAPS activities beyond the capability of the Site Teams.
- Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with the Quality Management System requirements.
- Participate fully in our site’s quality initiatives and ensure that all relevant quality standards are adhered to.
- Maintain CGMP standards where appropriate to your role.
- Manage policies relevant to your job role.
- Attend training and complete assessment as required.
- Conduct all work activities on accordance with the Environment Health, Safety and Wellbeing Policy QD-POL-000823.
- Maintain a secure and healthy workplace by efficiently managing risks, including psychosocial risks, to protect our people and the environment from physical or mental harm. Achieve this through our internal control framework, EHSW standards, local SOPs and actively working towards achieving our objectives and targets.
- Complies with EHS and Engineering standards and guidelines and site EHS procedures.
- Actively participates in the ZAP program by reporting Near Miss and Observations to help reduce risk and improve safety. Minimum number of reports to align with the site KPI.
- Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with the site SOP’s, Haleon EHS standards and guidelines and relevant legal requirements.
- Read and understand the Standard Operating Procedures applicable to the role.
- Be aware of the impact of your job activities on EHS issues.
- Provide deployment feedback at the monthly Site HAPS Council meeting.
- Provide weekly deployment feedback at the weekly departmental HAPS progress meeting.
Qualifications and skills
Required
- University Degree (BSc) or equivalent. Ideally Manufacturing/ Engineering/ Quality/ Logistics based.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial or manufacturing environment.
Other Skills/Qualifications
- Good understanding of the business.
- Extensive knowledge of at least one area of the business with general knowledge in multiple areas.
- Detailed knowledge of the cGMP requirements relevant to the role.
