Woodworker

We run a local wood manufacturing company in Brackenfell and looking for a talented artist in his or her craft looking for an opportunity to grow within our company and become part of our family. We have a WOODWORKER position available and if you meet the below criteria, we will contact you to schedule an interview.

Job opportunity for woodworker (Solid wood & veneer)

Our working hours are from 8:00 - 17:00.

Factory is in Brackenfell and applicants will be required to live nearby or have reliable mode of transport.

Remuneration will be market related and can be discussed in the interview.

You need to have experience in all wood working machinery and equipment, such as Table Saw, Plainer, track saw, sander and all types of machines needed to build furniture.

You will need to set up, operate, and tend all types of woodworking machines, such as saws, track saw. router table, milling machines, drill presses, sanders, and wood-fastening machines. Operators use equipment to cut and shape wooden parts and to verify dimensions, using a drawing or instructions. We work with a lot of solid wood and veneer so you will need to be experienced in both.

Experience in reading detailed architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints. Prepare and set up machines and tooling for woodwork manufacturing. Lift wood pieces onto machines, either by hand or with hoists. Operate woodworking machines, including saws and milling and sanding machines.

- Hard working
- either a proper working vehicle to get to work or must be reliable to get to work on time without daily excuses
- Willing to work overtime when needed
- Always be honest
- Work hard and you will reap the rewards
- You will be required to work out your own cutting lists
- we are looking for someone that wants to work and does not weekly stay out of work
- Work under pressure and extremely tight deadlines

**Salary**: R13,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month
