- - Effective management of explosives and associated accessories in accordance with relevant legal and safety regulations- Coordinate, supervise and monitor all activities at the magazines
- Order and issue explosives, monitor stock levels against projected needs and verify materials meet the minimum safety and technical standards
- Timeous and accurate reconciling of explosives with supporting documents and controls in place in line with legislation
- Comply with legal and safety requirements when transporting explosives
- Plan and schedule maintenance and utilization of explosives delivery vehicles
- Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows, availability of explosives and achievement of production targets
- Liaise with the Inspector of explosives and monitor associated risk assessment processes in collaboration with the site safety officers
- Participate in required meetings, including safety meetings
- Effective systems and controls in place for the securing of explosives during strikes
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and conduct inspections of explosives magazines and delivery bay in line with legislation

**Minimum requirements**- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Magazine Master Certificate
- MS Office Proficient [Word, Excel]
- Exposure to JDE or similar ERP system (advantageous)
- Valid EB Driver’s License
- SAPS Clearance
- Covid-19 Coronavirus Vaccination Certificate [Site Specific]
- Good English written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to monitor stock levels against projected needs
- Ability to supervise a team [Site Specific]
- Minimum 3 years of explosives management experience in an underground mining environment
- Experience ordering, issuing and monitoring explosive stock levels
- Demonstrate understanding of handling, transport and storage of explosives and associated accessories as per relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice
