The position is ideal for an individual who loves doing vs delegating. But who can also delegate and monitor as required. As the Brand Manager, you will be responsible for further developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for the Company, to drive high growth whilst building a strong, market leading brand. Your day-to-day tasks will include, deriving managing, coordinating and actioning marketing activities, both internally, as well as working closely with our partners to imbed these things into the trade and into the market. Ultimately, marketing is in support of sales and this position is responsible for not only building brand love but can love too.
The Brand Manager will join a dynamic and maverick team who does what it takes to get the job done
**Responsibilities**:
- Working closely as member of the management team to define overall marketing strategy and drawing up marketing plans in support of the company strategy.
- Developing cost-effective marketing plans to maximise ROI on marketing spend.
- Taking responsibility for the execution of the business marketing plans.
- Managing media and marketing staff and external PR and design agencies.
- Approving and overseeing the creative development of promotional materials, online content, advertisements, and other marketing-related material
- Analysing the effectiveness of all marketing efforts including their contribution to the effectiveness of sales campaigns.
- Researching and evaluating new product opportunities, demand for potential products and customer needs and insights.
Ensuring that the brand remains relevant, up-to-date, and exciting to our ever-growing customer base
- Experimenting with a variety of journalists, organic and paid acquisition channels - content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis, and much more
- Serving as a partner to finance and product development in determining the viability of potential markets before production of a product with no business case or strategy prepared in advance.
**Key Attributes**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, or a related field
- Has more than 3 years’ experience in relevant field
- An ambitious, hands-on person looking for a challenging career, where the goal is driving the business’ profitability by building a strong brand
- Must be able to take responsibility & ownership for results
- Attention to detail
- Good project management skills
- Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
- Deep understanding of digital marketing and lots of experience in setting up and optimizing Google and Facebook campaigns
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively
- Budget-management skills and proficiency
- Professional judgment and discretion
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in marketing
- Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
Due to the Nature of the business and the phase in lifecycle, you will be required to support and perform activities outside of the above-described role, as well as occasionally outside of the standard operating hours.
