Chief Actuary

A multinational insurance giant is looking for an independent-minded Chief Actuary to join their team in Kenya. This individual needs to have in-depth technical skills and the confidence to interact on board level. This company has been around for over half a century and is part of a listed concern. You will be welcomed into the family valuing integrity, involvement, and innovation. The role will include duties such as:

- Governance, Risk and Control
- Product development
- Pricing
- Develop a Service Level Agreement and terms of reference between actuarial and key stakeholders for delivering the requirements of the Actuarial Function
- Develop a capital management model and define optimal capital requirements for the company in line with the risk profile of the business being undertaken by the company.
- Provide technical product support to ensure development of relevant products that meet market needs and the profitability objective of the company

**Job Experience & Skills Required**:
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelors’ degree in actuarial science, statistics, engineering, mathematics, or any equivalent with a strong emphasis on mathematical proficiency
- Masters’ Degree in a Business-related course
- Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (15 papers)
- Ten years’ experience in the insurance industry five of which must be in senior management in an actuarial function in a reputable organisation
