Key Functions include:
- Planning, organizing, formulating, directing and controlling the production activities.
- Manage factory budgets, fixed and variable costs, capex, maintenance, and
abnormal maintenance.
- Review overall factory performance and implement and maintain operational
strategies.
- Ensure that maintenance is efficiently carried out and new projects are undertaken
for uninterrupted, safe and optimal production, and the safety of employees.

- Ensure that production and safety standards are in compliance with the
Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Comply with the requirements of ISO and Quality management Systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A qualification in Engineering and Business Administration.
- A Project Management qualification would be advantageous.
- At least 6 years practical experience in an industrial process plant, including
knowledge of boiler operations.
- Including at least 5 years’ experience in leading a management team.
- At least 5 years’ experience in safety management and quality control systems.
- Knowledge and expertise in respect of OHS Act AND regulations.
- Knowledge and expertise in respect labour legislation, and disciplinary enquiries.
- Computer proficiency using MS Office suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to communicate in isiZulu is advantageous.
