The Refrigeration Artisan (Ammonia) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of ammonia refrigeration systems. This includes installing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment; performing preventive maintenance; and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations for ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
- Work with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and repair complex problems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.

**Key Skills**
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong safety awareness and practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Associate's degree in refrigeration or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- ammonia refrigeration systems maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
