**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**PART-TIME BOOK KEEPER**
The role of a Book keeper is to oversee a company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations and ensure that they comply with SARS and Accounting standards. To record financial data into general ledgers, which is used to produce the income statement and balance sheet. The bookkeeper plays a crucial role in providing accurate financial information to management, which is essential for effective decision-making and overall business success.
**Requirements**:

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Wave Bookkeeping software.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain and update the company's financial records and transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including cost estimates/quotations, invoicing and collections.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll and ensure all taxes are paid on time.
- Prepare and file tax returns and other financial reports.
- Prepare and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Respond to financial inquiries and provide support to management as needed.
- Processing of VAT returns and e-filing.
