Dairy Farm Manager

**Ixopo Area - KwaZulu Natal**: Our client is looking for a Dairy Manager to join the team.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree highly advantageous
- Previous dairy management experience essential - min of 4 years
- Previous pasture management experience essential
- Ability to AI
- Computer literate
- Strong administrative skills
- Great stockmanship
- Must be a hands-on person, hard-working, deadline-driven and diligent
- Maintenance orientated
- Valid driver’s license

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Present at the dairy for the full duration of milking. Prestart to post washing.
- Monitoring of Steamup and fresh cows.
- Daily updating of all cow records on the Delpro system.
- Dairy staff motivation, dedication, moral and discipline. Targets and goals.
- Breeding. Fertility, Heats, AI. Jersey
- Dairy hygiene and milk quality.
- Monitoring milk collection bulk tank readings and tank samples
- General dairy tasks, treatments, vaccinations, dipping, hoof cleaning
- Managing the employees under your area
- Cow feeding: Pasture Utilization and supplementary feed.
- General areas of responsibility
- Reporting Systems
- Working with other Senior Management
- Calves and Followers
- Cattle Stocks
