**KEY PURPOSE OF JOB**

As part of a major growth strategy, a component and sub-system supplier to the international satellite market is seeking a production planner, to provide support to the production manager through the scheduling of production jobs and by coordinating all production administrative activities through the production process to ensure that all production jobs are closed off in due time.

**KEY TASKS**
- Assists Production Manager in the execution of projects by performing a wide variety of administrative tasks, including but not limited to the timely management production jobs
- Creating and issuing production schedules
- Print and issue production job sheets and related documents to production team aligned with the production plan
- Ensuring that all materials needed for jobs are issued from stores and handed over to the production team
- Tracking production schedules and making sure that they are met by communicating changes to the production team
- Supporting production team with completion of tasks in the manufacturing management system
- Coordinating work hours with management to ensure that production needs are met efficiently and effectively
- Ensuring all jobs are receipted into Syspro (ERP system) on completion
- Monitor employee performance to ensure that production goals are being met
- Coordinate with Production Manager to resolve production scheduling and control issues
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by the company.

**Qualification**
- Degree or Diploma in Production Planning, Demand Planning, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain (or similar)

**Experience & Knowledge**:

- At least 3 years of production planning experience within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems.
- Previous exposure to other production planning tools will be an added advantage.
- Syspro experience will be an advantage
