- Quality assurance of data;
- Ensuring that ethical requirements are fulfilled;
- Recording all patient data that have been collected;
- Data quality control and data cleaning;
- Attending to data queries;
- Data office management;
- Attending required data management training;
- Assisting the data manager in the creation of clinical databases.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Matric certificate;
- Knowledge of computer data processing principles;
- Two years' experience in data capturing in a health and / or research environment;
- Computer experience in various Microsoft packages (including Microsoft Access and Excel);
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Good organisational skills;
- The ability to work under pressure;
- The ability to work in a team.
