**SAP PI/PO Consultant**

The **SAP PI/PO Consultant** will join the Technology Consulting SAP Domain team and be responsible for the delivery of development work within EY and on projects with external clients. This position is mostly client-facing and requires travel to the client site as the project warrants.

**Responsibilities and Deliverables**:
Your deliverables as a **SAP PI/PO Consultant** will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Interaction with business and functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and assist in defining technical requirements
- Development of custom functionality to meet provided requirements
- Assessment and quality assurance of code developed by other developers within the team
- Guidance and knowledge transfer to junior team members
- Execution of performance, functional and non-functional testing of developed solutions
- Work with a broader team, to ensure the correct solution is provided to the client

**Required Experience**:

- Minimum of **1-3** years of experience in the banking domain, through a financial institution or an industry software vendor company.
- Proven industry relevant track record of in-depth knowledge of SAP PI/PO domain, associated standards, practices and regulations
- Client facing service experience required. Engagement across stakeholders and ability to interact with various levels of individuals
- Preferred tertiary qualification (Honours degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- System Integration: Develop and implement integration solutions to connect various on-premises and cloud-based systems. This involves understanding integration requirements, mapping data flows, configuring adapters, and establishing communication channels.
- Interface Development: Create and configure integration scenarios and interfaces within the SAP PI/PO platform. This includes designing message mappings, creating integration objects, and configuring routing and transformation rules.
- Interface Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the performance and reliability of integration interfaces, and resolve any issues or errors that arise. Utilize monitoring tools and logs to identify and address integration problems, ensuring smooth data flow between systems.
- Interface Mapping and Data Transformation: Develop message mappings and data transformation logic using SAP PI/PO tools and techniques. This includes utilizing graphical mapping tools, XSLT, and other mapping techniques to ensure seamless data transformation and harmonization.
- Integration Governance: Adhere to integration governance standards and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish integration guidelines, documentation, and standards. Ensure compliance with security and data privacy requirements in integration projects.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners to gather integration requirements, understand business processes, and coordinate integration activities. Build relationships and effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful integration outcomes.
- Integration Testing: Plan and execute integration testing activities to validate the functionality and reliability of integration interfaces. Collaborate with stakeholders to define test scenarios, prepare test data, and analyze test results.
- Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Stay updated with the latest features, enhancements, and best practices related to SAP PI/PO. Participate in training programs, workshops, and industry events to enhance technical skills and expand knowledge in the field of SAP integration.

**Advantageous Experience and Skills**:

- SAP PI/PO Certification Preferred
- Experience in Agile methodology projects preferred
- Experience in Banking and Financial Services projects
- Experience with SAP Payments Engine and associated integration highly advantageous
- Working knowledge of domestic and international banking domains including:

- Experience with Banking domain software platforms and vendors
- Exposure to core transformation journeys at a variety of levels (management, design, implementation)
- Exposure to cloud-based technologies and solutions and associated transformation/migration programs

- Certification in cloud and related technologies
- Certification in design thinking principles
- Business Writing Skills (business cases, proposals)
- Presentation and Facilitation Skills
