**JOB TITLE**:Billing Specialist
**DEPARTMENT**:Finance
**REPORTING TO**:Working Capital Manager
Location: Witbank
**ADDITIONAL INFO**:
- 12 Month Contract, full time.
- Located in Witbank, although mobile within the region.
- Overtime might be required, especially during month ends or financial year end.
**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
To deliver excellent performance within the billing team:
- Ensure timeous and accurate processing of customer billing
- Maintain customer credit limits for a portfolio of mines
- Support the business, resolve open issues, and maintain controls
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
This is a varied role in a fast-moving global organisation. Responsibilities and priorities are likely to evolve, but the following are key to the role:
**Data capture and billing**
- Preparation of Quotations for mining customers
- Daily processing of job cards and raising invoices in accordance with customer SLA and pricing agreements
- Clearing open job cards/outstanding orders daily and weekly to ensure timely invoicing to customers
- Processing of SAP invoices
- Printing and distributing of customer invoices (including submission onto various customer systems)
- Constantly learning individual customer SLAs and pricing schedules to ensure accurate billing
- Control and minimization of credit notes and billing errors
- Collection of accounts receivable within the credit terms
- Application of credit management policies and trigger matrix escalations
**Customer Contact**
- Regularly visit key customers and build relationships to ensure the invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner
- Resolving customer queries in a timely and professional manner
**Other**
- Ensure that filing and record keeping is up to date
- Drive continuous process improvement
- Assist in other finance work as requested
**DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY**
- As per Board-approved DOA and as necessary for functions outside the DOA
- As delegated by the Managing Director, when necessary

**PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
**Education/achievements**
Matric with Maths and Accounting. Post Matric qualification in accounting (Creditors Management)
**Preferred**
National Diploma in Accounting
**Experience/Knowledge**
- Minimum 3 years’ billing or similar experience
- Experience working in a mining environment
