Cleaner / Sculler

**Job Description - Cleaner / Sculler**

**The cleaner is responsible for the dish-wash machine, general facility cleanliness, and washing of pots and equipment to ensure compliance to the Ou Meul standards of perfection.**

**List of Responsibilities & duties, including but not limited to**:

- Making sure that crockery, pots, pans and glassware is cleaned in the dish-wash machines.
- Ensuring the dish-wash machine is run and cleaned according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, or any other training specified by the head chef.
- Pots and pans are cleaned as they accumulate in the scullery.
- The grease trap is cleaned daily.
- Equipment is kept clean throughout the bakery.
- Floors and walls are cleaned and sanitized daily.
- Assist cooks in general cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces and work areas.
- Understands the chemicals used for cleaning, and any safety precautions to be taken.
- Performs any other duties requested.
- Understands safety in the workplace.
- Trained in hygiene.
- Report any first aid issues to relevant manager.
- Ensure accidents or relevant incidents are reported to the kitchen supervisor or store manager.

**Requirements**:

- Experience as a cleaner is advantageous.
- Able to communicate and read in English.
- Able to work in a team.
- Dedication to provide exceptional customer service.

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
