The main purpose of this position is to provide support to the Residence Management Team by providing a maintenance function, monitoring, reporting and completing assigned maintenance tasks and to ensure compliance with regard to Health and Safety and quality assurance standards. It also includes inventory inspections as well as a specific stock control function with regard to maintenance.
- Assist the Residence Management Team in assessing and prioritizing maintenance tasks.
- Provide a minor and planned maintenance service with regards to:
 Carpentry

 Electrical

 Painting

 Plumbing

 Furniture, fittings, and equipment

 Buildings and civils
- Assist maintenance with multiple medium to large scale construction, renovation required for maintenance.
- Ensure that planned maintenance shutdown work is implemented and carried out correctly, timeously and to established standards.
- Ensure that safe working practices are observed and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that (PPM) Planed Preventative Maintenance plan is executed timeously
- Ensure that the residence is intake ready by actively taking part in planning and execution of maintenance.
- Record maintenance required on Hi-Res through service call log system and ensure that assigned tasks are completed and closed timeously on Hi Res.
- Assess materials required and used.
- Report all Health & Safety Hazards to the to the Residence Management Team.
- Report all housekeeping and security issues to the Residence Management Team
- Conduct a Pre-Inventory Check and report maintenance issues timeously to Residence Management Team.
- Conduct inventory inspection with tenant upon arrival and departure if and when needed.
- Record any discrepancies to Residence Management Team.
- Inform management of discrepancies.
- Inform Residence Manager of possible replacement of Stock.
- Conduct Periodic Stock count of tools and equipment. - Assist Residence Management Team with monthly stock takes. - Ensure that stock is secure and neatly stored.

**Qualifications**

Grade 12 / Relevant equivalent technical qualifications.

At least 3 years working experience.
