**Senior Consultant - Assistant Vice President - Analytics Solutions**

**What can you expect?**

**In this role** You will be responsible for tracking key clients through connection with Client Executives, developing analytics consulting business for key clients and positioning Marsh as a preferred risk partner of choice. You will support the Head of Analytics IMEA in developing new analytical advisory products and propositions for key industries to increase revenue growth.

You will have a direct reporting line to the Head of Analytics IMEA.

**We will count on you to**:

- Lead analytics projects to deliver client specific analytics solutions in support of risk finance and insurance structuring decisions
- Be proficient in performing risk quantification, modelling and general insurance pricing work in property, liability as well as non-standard classes of risk
- Communicate technical results from your analysis to a non-technical or less technical audience which may be clients, internal client executives, and occasionally senior managerial positions with decision making ability
- Adapt existing analytical techniques or knowledge to address specific problems or concerns faced by clients in conjunction with Marsh’s risk consulting practice
- Identify and undertake business development opportunities with other practice leaders in Marsh Advisory

**What you need to have**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science or related field
- At least 5 years in related fields, with analytics, project and people management experience
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (including Visual Basic)
- Fluency in English
- Superior analytical, statistical modeling and mathematic skills
- Ability to develop strong client oriented solutions
- Capacity to work in an entrepreneurial manner within a team environment
- Superior detail orientation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Associate of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA qualifications)
- Knowledge of program coding language such as R, Python, SAS etc.
- Knowledge or experience in the following specialist topics
- South African Solvency Assessment and Management (SAM) framework including Solvency Capital Requirements and ORSA
- Captive-related or captive-management expertise
- Enterprise Risk Management, CERA qualified or working towards a similar/equivalent risk management qualification
- Natural Hazards or climate-related analytics
- Quantification and data analysis of mining, energy, power industries or financial institutions
