Overview:
- Project Planning:
▪ The project manager is responsible for defining the scope of the project, developing a project plan, and creating a timeline for the project. They must also identify project risks and develop contingency plans to address them.
- Resource Management:
▪ The project manager must identify the resources required to complete the project, including personnel, equipment, and materials. They must also manage the allocation of these resources to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Budget Management:
▪ The project manager must develop and manage the project budget, including tracking expenses, ensuring that expenditures are within the allocated budget, and reporting on budget status to stakeholders.
- Team Management:
▪ The project manager must manage the project team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and monitoring team progress.
- Communication:
▪ The project manager must communicate with stakeholders throughout the project, including providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Quality Control:
▪ The project manager must ensure that the project meets the required quality standards, and that all deliverables are completed to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
▪ The project manager must identify and manage project risks, including developing contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
- Project Closure:
▪ The project manager must ensure that the project is properly closed out, including conducting a post-project review to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
1.2 Bid/RFQ Support & Management:
- Assist in the implementation and delivery of bid strategies leading to successful bids, including market research and intelligence
- Manage and operate bid/proposal information systems, ensuring data and information are accurate and current
- Ensuring that all bid and project documentation such as project plans, lessons learnt etc. are maintained to a high standard
- Follow up actions from meetings with appropriate people as required
- Ensure bid deadlines are met and feedback collected on successful/unsuccessful proposals
1.3 Improving internal process & administration
- Lead or contribute to the development of improved internal systems and processes
- Manage and structure New Business folders
- Organise meetings and coordinate diaries with internal and external colleagues
- Contribute and minute take at Team Meetings
- Draft briefing papers, correspondence and other documentation for projects and the day to day running of a variety of functions as directed
1.4 Project Support
- Carry out specific admin and spreadsheet tasks in relation to project work, as directed, by the New Business team
- Update project plans following project meetings
- Ensure project actions are circulated and ability to follow up with key individuals
- Organise activities at bid/project completion to include review and transfer of project information and knowledge, including dissemination any lessons learnt
1 | Minimum Requirements |
- Related Certification, Diploma or Degree in project management and / office administrator and / or marketing.
- Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Out of the box thinker, go-getter, and presentable person as you will be the face of the Company
- Willing and wanting to learn more
- Analytical and mathematical proficiency
- A natural skill to quickly learn and understand basic technical terminology
