Our Cape Town-based client seeks a skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join their mission-driven organization dedicated to equal access to education and empowering students to achieve their academic goals.

**Functional and Technical Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software development or related IT fields.
- Previous experience in a solution architect or enterprise architect role is highly desirable.
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions across multiple technologies and platforms.
- Proficiency in creating architectural artifacts, such as solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and documentation.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and robust technical solutions.
- Design end-to-end solutions that align with the organization's enterprise architecture principles, taking into account scalability, security, performance, and usability.
- Create solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and documentation to effectively communicate the proposed architecture to development teams and project stakeholders.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms to meet business needs and optimize system performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of the proposed solutions.
- Conduct regular architecture reviews and provide guidance and mentorship to development teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in solution architecture to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

Contract 3 months with possibility of extension.
