**Position**: Head of creative and design

**Job profile**:
The head of creative and design is responsible for the direction of design projects between brand owners, design agencies, sales and marketing and production teams. You will be responsible and accountable for the collaboration with the various creative and technical teams to ensure that the quality of ideas, execution of jobs and customer requirements are met. You will be required to drive creative excellence throughout the customer’s projects from concept to conclusion. You will play a significant role in defining and advancing a positive and highly productive design culture for the customer. You must have a passion for innovation and creativity that will inspire the team to consistently develop great work. You will be required to lead the creative, multimedia and 3D teams, creatively, innovatively, and in mentorship.
Key responsibilities (head of creative and design as team lead)
Develop skills and knowledge within yourself and the team through the development and the active participation in the company’s strategic intent and departmental goals.
Actively support and involve team members at the appropriate times to resolve issues.
Help to build a creative culture within the team.
Encourage all members to look for collaborative ways to make this a great place to work.
Provide guidance, mentorship and motivation to all designers, offering them constructive feedback and helping them grow their skills and abilities.
Disseminate learnings through other creative teams and the departments.
Present work internally and externally in a clear and professional manner.
Work closely with relevant internal teams, ensuring effective communication and management of customer’s expectations.
Keep informed with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to ensure that our work remains fresh, innovative and effective.
Champion best practice and creative excellence throughout the creative team.
Help the creative team and customers to find solutions to their projects as required.
Manage and take ownership of customer’s projects from concept to completion.
Key responsibilities (head of creative and design as a creative ambassador)
Be the creative face of Polyflex.
Work closely with the brands and productions teams to develop and produce creative concepts that meet the customer’s objectives and also drives business results in response to creative mandates.
Present work internally and externally in a clear and professional manner.
Work closely with relevant customer teams, ensuring effective communication and management of customer’s expectations.
Work with various teams to understand the customer’s brand and manage projects in a way that will support the delivery of the brand.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet customer’s deadlines.
Have strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
Master a variety of brand tone of voice and brand visual identities.
Have a pro-active mindset to identify opportunities within each brief to develop work that’s ground-breaking and intelligent.
Deliver cutting edge presentations to customers.
Must be responsible and accountable for customer projects and interactions.

**Requirements**:
Degree or diploma in graphic design (or a degree in communication/design/fine art etc. That shows competent visual skills).
Five years plus experience in packaging design/art direction/brandowner marketing and experience/design agencies.
Must have experience in graphic design, multimedia design, animation and 3D.
Excellent and confident computer skills.
Must have excellent presentation skills and customer repertoire.
MS Outlook, MSWord, MS PowerPoint and Keynote
Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Blender and/or other creative programs
