Kurtosys provides asset and wealth managers with a data and content publication platform that enables the construction and distribution of critical sales, marketing, and client reporting materials. Founded in 2002, Kurtosys operates across four global offices. Underpinned by global ISO-27001 certification in information security management, the Kurtosys team has a deep understanding of working at scale with data, information design, industry regulations and compliance issues.

THE TEAM: *
- The technology team at Kurtosys is responsible for building and maintaining the Kurtosys App platform, the flagship Kurtosys product that is used by our customers who are some of the largest investment managers in the world.
- We work hard, we work fast and we have fun.
- We endeavour to build software the correct way, whilst also moving fast.
- We are not a hierarchical organization and believe in empowering our teams to be able to make decisions independently.
**THE OPPORTUNITY**:

- You would form a part of the technology leadership collaborating with other senior managers throughout the business to define not just what we deliver but how we deliver.
**WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

- A track record of leading productive engineering teams to deliver product roadmap
- A strong understanding of agile delivery methods
- Experience in managing business expectations, resolving conflicts and communication with senior stakeholders
- Experience of managing and mentoring other managers across multiple disciplines
- Experience of successfully hiring to build out new and existing teams
- Knowledge of how to structure and manage high performing, operationally responsible teams
- An understanding and appreciation of developer experience
- An ability to take a data driven approach to decision making and identifying focus areas using metrics
- An ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility
- A strong technical background, where you can work at a high level but also get involved in detailed technical discussions
- Experience in building enterprise grade software, being well versed around the topics of change management, information security and data integrity
- You should have experience working with managed infrastructure stacks such as those provided by AWS
- Finally, you must be based in Cape Town or willing to relocate
