Pvc Extruder Operator

Suprahealthcare Manufacturing CT, a division in the Avacare Health Group, is looking for a committed and hard-working PVC Extrusion Operator to join and be part of their team.

The Summary Vacancy within our company exist for an experienced setter & operator within the plastics pipe & technical profile extrusion (Rigid & Flexible PVC Extrusions). The above applicant must have experience in PVC tubing extrusion. Please note applicants within the film extrusion process will not be considered.

**Education & Skills**:

- Grade 12
- 2-3 years’ experience extrusion operator in a manufacturing environment

**Essential Requirements**:
The above applicant must be able to demonstrate expertise with the following:

- Setting up and stripping down a profile extruder.
- Be able to successfully set up and extrusion die & pin change, check OD&ID of tubing and calibrator, and get the job running to specification.
- Be competent and have extensive knowledge of polymers, including behaviour and properties.
- Polymers used: PVC, PP and other plastics processing polymers.
- Be able to use a Vernier Caliper and to check tubing within specification, monitor and ensure product conformance.
- Attributes Analytical Thinker
- Be able to work under pressure and good housekeeping
- Be able to work occasional weekends and shifts
- Be fit and healthy to work in a physical factory environment.
