Workshop Assistant

Assists a qualified artisan in the maintenance of all machinery and equipment.

**REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING**
- Grade 12

**REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE**
- 1-year workshop maintenance experience within a feed factory environment

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Assist with all maintenance and of Trucks, horses, tankers, forklifts and tractors.
- Provide recommendations, for the replacement or repair of machinery parts and equipment.
- Follow safe working procedures and wear applicable PPE as issued by the employer
- Report unsafe actions and conditions
- Observe equipment for wear and tear and faults and report on defective equipment
- Adhere to all safety regulation policies, procedures and notices
- Ensure that the work area is neat and tidy at all times and clean tools and, when not in use, store away neatly in allocated space
