Video Animator

The institute has a job opening for a **Video Animator** within our **Content Development** department. Animator is responsible for creating a series of images known as frames, to simulate movement. The position includes creating and editing learning videos on various software platforms to piece together stills, footage, sound effects, dialog, and animation effects. This results in creating and editing learning videos that are engaging to a learner.

**Position Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Compilation of various elements (video graphic, photos, audio) into a sequenced video as per the supplied script
- Creation and Editing of learning videos for online consumption.
- Creating voice over for videos using the script provided.
- Source and compile the video footage, photos and music online to create a final video for the Institution’s portal.
- Format images to use in videos and perform colour corrections.
- Creating illustrations, gifs, animations and designing PowerPoint presentations as per the Institution’s standards.
- Create title and motion graphics.
- Create a resource library.
- Maintain and update video index sheets.
- Ensure videos are uploaded to Vimeo.
- Review co-workers’ videos before they are uploaded to the portal to ensure they are of good quality and are according to the Institution’s standards.

**Application Requirements**:

- Grade 12 with full Mathematics.
- Diploma/Degree in Animation or related field on a minimum of a NQF5 level.
- Experience in creating and editing videos by using: Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Camtasia (or related), Photoshop and Illustrator.
- 2 years’ experience in a position with similar responsibilities and / or tasks.
- Above average ability to understand, use and learn new technology.
- Advanced understanding of business processes, the analysis and optimization thereof.
- Advanced computer and office programs literacy.
- Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions.
