RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ability to make final decision regarding the full operation of the aircraft, e.g.: ensures safety and security of all crew members, passengers and freight onboard;
- Responsible of the cabin crew and ensure all duties adhere to the airline’s regulations and FAM;
- Ability to cope with the various ATC requirements, arrival and departure routings, taxi and parking procedures, etc.;
- Ability to handle the aircraft competently through all operational phases of flight;
- Good knowledge of SAFAIR policy, standard operating procedures and all other aspects of Normal and Non-Normal operations;
- Acceptable crew co-ordination and crew management;
- Ability to satisfy the requirements to act as a Captain in SAFAIR.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Preference will be given to Seniority, command experience and/or for those who have successfully completed the Command Readiness Program, Command Assessment and meet the FOM requirements;
- ATPL License;
- Minimum of 5000 hours total time;
- 1500 hours on Boeing 737 type;
- Permanently employed within the Company.
- Previous command experience on Turbo Jet aircrafts above 30 000kg - especially Boeing 737 type;
- Multi-crew experience;
- Total hours and total hours on type;
- Seniority.
- Must be willing to be Covid vaccinated based on inherent job requirements;
- Must be willing to sign upgrade training bond;
- No existing medical conditions that will affect his /her role as Captain;
- Must be willing to permanently relocate to Durban if the individual is outside Durban base.
