Opportunity: Valuator - Durban

We are seeking an experienced vehicle valuator for our auction disposal unit based at our trade center in Durban. As a valuator, you will ensure that a true reflection of the vehicles condition is projected on our sales platform. Your passion for automobiles and keen eye for detail will play a crucial role in relaying the most accurate information of the asset condition.

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Inspections:
Conduct thorough assessments on vehicles coming off fleet and those with intention of purchasing. To examine both the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the vehicle to ascertain the cost for reconditioning purposes. This information enables the company to list the asset on auction or make a purchase considering its true value.

Conduct and Presentation:
To enhance the company image and quality of service, you will need to have an elevated level of diligence and customer service. You will be expected to build good relations both internal and external, always maintaining an extremely professional act.

Co-ordinating and Punctuality:
You will be responsible for coordinating the daily inspection schedule both at the trade centre and on the road, being punctual and timeously completing the tasks at hand within the perimeters as set out in company training schedules and SOP’s. The assessor will be expected to accommodate the requirements of the business and is therefore obligated to work flexible hours as and when required

Risk and Asset Management:
Ensuring an elevated level of care for company assets, following all protocols pertaining to collections of vehicles, keeping in line with rules of the road and speed limits and committing oneself to the safe return of all vehicles collected.

Admin and Reporting:
Submit timeously all admin and reporting related to the position. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders for sharing of vital information pertaining to the role’s activity for purposes of development and improvements.

Qualifications:
**Experience**:
2 years of valuation experience within automotive retail or wholesale. Mechanical or body panel workshop experience advantageous.

**Education**:
Matric/N3 or equivalent or proven role experience with contactable references. Motor mechanical qualification advantageous.

Essentials and Attributes:
Unendorsed minimum code 08 South African driver’s license. Professional appearance, neat and tidy dress code.
