In-store Merchandiser

The main tasks & duties associated with the position are as follows:
Merchandise company brands according to layouts or store planograms. Build relationships with department floor staff, heads of department. Ensure all products, store fixtures and point of sale is clean and in good order. Obtain extra forward share and secondary placements in store. Ensure that secondary placements are mechanised with seasonal lines. Merchandise advertised lines in prominent areas. Conduct stock counts as required. Check all aged-stock before it is returned. Communicate with sales representatives regarding any challenges, problems and relevant matters. Conduct weekly checks on any returns in the store (returns policy & procedure to be upheld). Assist customers in understanding the difference between the company brand and competitor offerings - generate sales.

Minimum requirements:
A matric qualification.

3 years’ merchandising experience in FMCG/Retail environment.

Competencies required:
Good communicator. Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. High level of confidence. Strong numerical and analytical skills.

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)
