**Introduction**:
Our client has a footprint across Africa and the Middle East as an importer of bespoke building industry material. There is an opening in their finance division for a Bookkeeper at the Roodepoort offices.
**Key role**:
Provide end to end administrative and financial support.
**Requirements**:
- Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance (OR equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Proficiency in ERP accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Concept of forex
- Highly organised with a proven ability to effectively and efficiently multitask
- High attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience in setting up and maintaining an efficient and streamlined online filing system
- Strong administration process orientation (filing, records keeping etc.)
- Mature and professional
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring their accuracy
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Help with payroll processing and related tasks
- Support senior accountants in various accounting activities
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
- Follow internal accounting policies and procedures
- Stay updated with accounting regulations and best practices
**Salary**: R20 000 - R25 000 Per month, depending on experience and background
