**Your tasks**:

- Act and drive in courteous manner at all times ensuring fellow road users and customers have a positive experience of the company.
- Develop with management a route schedule that is cost efficient, optimal and productive to ensure delivery and collection duties are carried out timeously whilst maintaining contact with the office.
- Load vehicle safely and responsibly in accordance with weight restrictions and capacity whilst ensuring that goods, boxes are loaded and transported as per instruction markings / client’s instructions.
- Ensure the completion of required documentation, i.e. vehicle checklist, customer complaints, missed collections, mileage, delivery records and daily trip sheets.
- Ensure Waybills and POD‘s are completed in full by the customer upon collection, i.e. signature, date and time, etc. in order to prevent delays in service delviery.
- Assist with Customs Stops & Tailboard Inspections and collect Releases & Documents from Customs and Customers.
- Ensure timeous delivery of CTO’s to the shipping lines and invoices to clients/customers.
- Comply with all the laws of the road ensuring all safety regulations and precautions are taken to safeguard passenger’s other road user’s goods documentation and the vehicle and timeously report any accidents.
- Maintain a professional image of the company and brand ensuring the vehicle is clean and presentable and that you are attired in the Schenker issued uniform.
- Ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.
- Draw cargo from the airlines (OR Tambo).
- Understanding of routes within JHB.
- Using of electronic devices for POD’s.
- Sign for correct shipments and if there’s damages make endorsement for it.
- Take photos for damage shipments.
- Collect and deliver shipments for domestic flights.

**Requirements**:

- Matric or Senior Certificate.
- Valid driver’s licence plus PDP.
- Knowledge of customs documents.
- To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should possess/ display the following key skills/ attributes:

- Client service and efficiency.- Safety.
- Communication Skills.
- Client orientation.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving.
