**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**:
To produce a variety of quality and fresh meat products by cutting meat accordingly and consistently following production recipes in order to meet customer needs and achieve profitability.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES**:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Butcher Assistant
- Must have meat saw experience
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- Knowledge of Health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
**KEY ACOUNTABILITIES**:
- Responsible for quality control before offloading meat
- Tenderizing, deboning, trimming, vacuum packing, marinating and displaying of bulk meat
- Cuts meat and put them into good arrangement for easy identification and selection by customers
- Maintain cleanliness and stocking of displays
- Keep store rooms and cold rooms in an orderly manner
- Engage in packaging, weighing, labelling and pricing of meats
- Inspects meats and other related products brought for processing or sales to ensure they are safe for consumption
- Responsible in cleaning the meat preparation counter to avoid contamination of the meats
- Maintain housekeeping and food safety standards
