Senior Bookkeeper

Experience:

- Matric and relevant qualification
- Must have 5 years + experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a highly pressurized and fast paced environment
- Strong computer literacy (excel advanced / pastel evolution)
- Tax practitioner is an advantage
- Experience in managing a team

Duties and responsibilities:

- Manage debtors / creditors
- Daily bank recon processing
- Manage / process petty cash and credit card transaction
- Create and maintain asset register
- Vat reconciliation
- Refund processing
- Load supplier payments
- Cash-flow projection
- Month end journal processing (depreciation; interest; journal)
- Inter-company reconciliation
- Inventory management (stock take, accrual account balance; price variance analysis)
- Accrual and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Back-end utility movements in Patel Evolution
- Report writing / compilation
- Understanding of AFS
- Audit preparation / liaison
- Provisional tax calculations
- Dealing with SARS (preferably a SARS Tax Practitioner)
- Understanding of basic payroll and EMP201 submission/ EMP501 reconciliation
- Understanding of Forex/ calculation of landed cost
- Adhoc task in line with skills set

**Salary**: R100.00 - R150.00 per month
