**Description**:
Purpose of this role is to ensure repairs and maintenance of electrical equipment are carried out to minimise breakdowns.

**Qualifications, skills and experience**:

- Must be a **qualified Electrician with a valid trade test certificate**, issued by an accredited institution
- Must have a **wireman's licence** and be able to adhere to electrical policies and procedures
- Must be able to issue electrical certificates of compliance
- Must have a Code EB drivers licence with own transport
- Have experience in fault finding and resolving technical issues
- Understanding of and experience in fault finding and resolving technical issues
- Understanding of and experience in the design, wiring and connection of single phase and three phase circuits
- Minimum of 5 years hands on experience working within a mine
- Installation of electrical boxes, DB boards, other enclosures, conduits, and wireways
- Assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment and existing installations
- Be able to draw up a suitable and accurate bill of materials for projects
- Panel building experience is a must
- Examining and servicing high voltage systems like motors and generators
- Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of PLC (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Soft Starters (advantageous)

Individual must have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines and installations within set time frames. Must have the ability to manage and oversee teams and delegate tasks to ensure efficiency in job execution.
