**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Job related certificate (degree/diploma) in related food industry.
- Food Safety training and experience will be an advantage
- 2 years’ experience in meat processing.
- Knowledge of food and safety practices.
- Self -motivated and ability to work independently.
- Adequate comprehension of applicable statutory standards applicable to the workplace, environment, and employees.
- Detail orientated.
- Effective communications skills
- Deadline driven.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain the Quality Control Program.
- Maintain a high level of hygiene throughout the processing plant.
- Carry out instructions given to Management regarding quality and hygiene.
- Report workers not adhering to the required quality standards and follow up on corrective action.
- Responsible for overseeing and managing all QA staff in the plant and ensuring work is being done according to procedure.
- Checking that all QA documents are filled in correctly before handing in for filling.
- Responsible for conducting critical checks throughout the plant on daily basis.
- Responsible for ensuring QA staff conduct daily KPI’s and Pick-ups and communicate effectively when product is out of specification.
- Responsible to communicate all product issues reported by QA staff members to Management.
- Ensuring Quality Assurance compliance, objectives and targets are achieved as per legislation and national standards.
- Maintaining Quality controls and documentation procedures.
- Ensuring tests are carried out, results evaluated, and that product modification are investigated if necessary.
- Ensure all plant staff and processing plant staff adhere to Hygiene standards.
- Ensuring product produced is of high quality and food safety and comply to consumer requirement.
- Follow all policies and procedures relating to Food Safety as adopted by Supreme Company.
