**Medical Receptionist and assistant for Specialist Urologist, Germiston**

Our client, a Specialist Urologist, is seeking to recruit a professional, motivated and dynamic medical receptionist and assistant. The successful applicant must be result-orientated with good organisational and communication abilities and the necessary skills to create a calm and professional patient experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be an ambassador for the practice
- Keep the reception area neat and tidy
- Manage practice supplies
- Welcome patients, assist frail or elderly patients and educate patients on administrative procedures
- Assistance with tea and coffee for patients
- Electronic diary management
- Electronic medical aid and in-room cash billing
- Typing letters and reports
- Capturing patient records
- Clean up after patient consultations including disposing of medical specimens
- Interacting with medical aids and other medical practices, laboratories and hospital departments
- Maintain patient confidentiality

**Qualification**:

- Matric
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar medical receptionist position or in a medical environment
- Exceptional Microsoft office suite experience and computer literate
- Knowledge and understanding of medical aid coding and billing
- GoodX, Vericlaim and Healthbridge experience will be an advantage

**Skills and attributes**:

- Deliver a high standard of patient service
- Excellent administrative skills
- Professional, compassionate and friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of employment conditions
- Good time management and prioritisation of tasks

**Working hours**:
Monday to Friday, 09h00 - 17h00
