Studio Assistant

An exciting opportunity has opened up at the Design Studio of THE WREN DESIGN in Muizenberg, Cape Town

**POSITION: PRODUCTION ASSISTANT**

Contract duration: 3 month contract (learning period) > review > permanent position offering

Time: Monday - Friday (8 - 4:30pm)

Starting Salary: R5500

Position is based in Muizenberg

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

TASKS INCLUDE: Preparing orders: handcutting, marking, tracing, attaching press studs, using foiling machine / shop assistant : assistanting customers in store with their purchase / product making: sewing, turning garment inside out, trimming, cutting, cutting leather, punching / pack orders according to order sheet / finish product: attach studs, attach eyelets, quality check, label, allocate to orders, add magnets / Stock take / stock management / receive and dispatch : check incoming and outgoing stock / cleaning cutting room.

**Requirements**:

- Must have experience in garment construction, craft, sewing or related. **We want somebody who loves making and using their hands to create.**
- Be fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Minimum Grade 8.
