As an Ophthalmologist at Vision Clinic, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of eye-related conditions and disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal eye health of our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
**Responsibilities**:
Conducting comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat ocular diseases, vision impairments, and other eye-related issues.

Prescribing appropriate eyeglasses, contact lenses, medications, or recommending surgical interventions when necessary.

Performing various ophthalmic procedures, including cataract surgery, LASIK, Glaucoma surgery, Strabismus and/or Pars Plana Vitrectomy. Please indicate your area of speciality or if you are a beginner with mínimal experience, we are happy to give you a helping hand.

Utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to assess and monitor patients' eye health.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.

Ensuring compliance with industry standards, ethical guidelines, and best practices in patient care.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient documentation.

**Requirements**:
Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) and specialization in Ophthalmology.

Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Proven experience as an Ophthalmologist, with a strong track record of successful diagnoses and treatments.

Excellent clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centric approach.

Proficiency in using ophthalmic equipment and technology.
