Boxroom Operator

The above position is vacant at our **Saldanha CIT Branch.**

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Clear criminal record
- Computer literate
- Must have good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience in security industry or similar role is advantageous
- Grade C Psira certificate
- Competed firearm training in handgun, shotgun and rifle
- SAPS competency certificate
- 1-2 years’ experience as an Armourer is advantageous
- Living in close proximity / Own transport is advantageous

**Job Specification (not totally inclusive)**:

- Prepare for vault room duties
- Planning of the vault room schedules CIT
- Receiving of consignments from and to CIT teams
- Balancing of vault and locking up
- Sorting and distribution of consignments
- Documentation and administration
- Scanning of consignments when receiving from truck
- Full responsibility and accountability for all firearms
- Issue and receive all firearms to and from the armoury
- Report all delays to the Branch Manager immediately including incident prevention and reporting
- Take preventive action towards any suspicious activity
- Keep all relevant registers up to date
- Ensure all firearms are clean and functional
