An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Purchasing Officer within a food manufacturing company based in Gauteng.
The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:

- Manage and maintain the replenishment schedule.
- Analyse the schedule by doing “what if” scenarios.
- Manage the PR to PO and receipting process.
- Highlight and identify resource constraints and recommend processes to eliminate resource constraints.
- Suggest batch size changes, re-routing of products and outsourcing/ purchasing of additional materials.
- Highlight critical material shortages.
- Compare schedule to budget.
- Compare net requirements against scheduled receipts in monthly periods.
- Compare actual vs forecasted volumes and spend.
- Ensure that products which are at risk are identified.
- Co-ordinate replenishment and report on progress.
- Manage and maintain planning reports.
- Pricing Analyses
- Import of materials and process of documentation
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Supplier relationship management
- Maintain Supplier Score cards.
- Assist with SLA
- Update the ASL
- Cost saving projects on materials
- Internal and external audits

**Requirements**:

- University Degree / Diploma, in Supply Chain, Procurement, CIMA or similar
- Computer literate - MS Office - ADVANCED
- 3 or more years operational experience in a Supply Chain/Procurement environment
- Sound understanding and knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
- Working experience in infant, powder production environment or dairy would be advantageous.
- Project Management
- Advanced knowledge of Supply chain & Procurement processes
- International procurement experience essential (advantageous if in milk commodities and engineering purchasing).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
