QA Supervisor

**QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR - Fruit Receiving**
- 1 September 2023_

We are looking for a self-disciplined, independent individual who is focused on producing high quality, detailed work within a team environment. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be based at the **Molteno** **packing operation**,** part of our **Packing Division, **in the **Grabouw** area.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the fruit quality processes with regards to fruit receiving and storage processes.
- Collect and interpret fruit quality data and report deviations
- Supervise and monitor that the post-harvest drench procedure is implemented according to the set specification
- Review fruit quality data and report on relevant trends
- Monitor chemical stock levels and ensure sufficient stock levels at all time
- Oversee and ensure compliance to quality and food safety standards, including BRC
- Supervise a team of quality control personnel.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or similar qualification in Food Science or Agriculture (2+ year diploma or NQF6)
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a post-harvest fruit handling or fruit production environment
- Intermediate understanding of apple and pear fruit quality will be beneficial
- Basic understanding of Food quality & safety, health and safety regulations will be beneficial
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office package, including Excel skills
- Basic understanding of Vitrax, will be beneficial
