Alteration Expert

A Boutique that specialises in Bridal, Formal and Matric Farewell Garments requires the services of a Freelance Seamstress.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys challenges to turn dreams into reality. If you have a talent and passion for this work you can grow your income with little input cost but have great potential should you want to grow your own business.

We are situated in Kenmare, Krugersdorp.

Outputs:
1. Be able to capture an idea of a client into a design. The client mostly provides a picture of what they want and you need to make it according to the picture or combine several pictures with their idea into a design.

2. Assist from design, pattern, and making of the garment to final fitting within a reasonable time.

3. Assist with alterations of garments.

4. Be available to meet with clients on short notice, if and when required.

5. Fittings and meeting with new clients are on average between 3 half days a week which includes most Saturdays. Can be more or less depending on needs.

6. Assist in Boutique with clients during a consultation.

7. During fittings, clothes must be presented neatly and cleanly at all times even during the process of making the garment.

8. Although I buy the material you might need to do it if the situation requires it.

**Requirements**:
1. Must have your own sewing machines and workplace.

3. Must know about making clothing and doing alterations of formal wear.

4. Excellent sense of style, texture and colour.

5. Be flexible to accommodate client needs and meet deadlines.

6. Must be reliable and deliver on due dates.

7. Keen interest in Bridal and Formalwear garments.

9. Remain calm and be able to work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.

10. Pro-active.

11. Must be timely and arrive at least 15 - 30 min before the client

12. Innovative and resilient when faced with challenges or obstacles.

13. Attention to detail to deliver quality work.

14. Good listening skills.

15. Have reliable transport.

16. Be presentable when meeting with clients.
