Our client, a Big 5 Game Reserve based in the Valley of the Kings (Zululand), seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced HSSE Executive. This position provides high level advice to the COO on risk management, health and safety, and continuous quality improvement for the Game Reserve and Lodges. This role includes implementation of H&S systems and processes, developing and implementing incident reporting systems and procedures, coordinating audits, workplace inspections and surveillance schedules in line with the OHS policy, reporting and analysis as well as assessment and approval of contractor’s health and safety plans, liaising internally and externally with professional bodies and stakeholders.

Must have matric with a relevant BDegree/National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent tertiary qualification, a valid Driver’s License, extensive knowledge of all relevant legislation such as the Skills Development, Employment Equity and Basic Conditions of Employment Acts, OHSA. At least 5-7 years’ experience in a senior HSSE/SHEQ management position in the manufacturing sector.
