**TYRE FITTER ADVERT**

GENERAL

The Tyre Fitter's main duties include the fitting of Tyres on the Fleet as well as assisting the Stores Assistant and Tyres Supervisor in the effective and efficient management of the Tyre Department on a day-to-day basis.

This includes assisting in the issuing and receiving of stock and they are to be part of a team responsible for all aspects of the efficient running and management of the Tyres stores.

The Tyres Fitter reports directly to the Tyres Supervisor/ Tyres Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The scope of responsibilities of the Tyres Fitter is focused on the fitment of the Tyres on the Fleet. The fleet includes reach stackers, forklifts, company cars, trucks, trailers, low-beds and any other machinery and or vehicle used by Greendoor in the yard.
- Ensure that all the Tyres within the fleet are well maintained and serviced and kept in safe and good working order;
- Establish and maintain a strong and professional working relationship and open communication channels at all times with the Tyres Supervisor - Tyres to ensure the appropriate Tyres and consumables are being used;
- Brand all Tyres on both sides;
- Ensure that all Tyres exhibiting defects are reported to the Supervisor/Manager;
- Ensure that all vehicles exhibiting mechanical defects are reported to the Workshop Manager;
- Ensure all Tyres are fitted correctly;
- Assist the Tyres Supervisor to ensure all new Tyres, recap Tyres, scrapped Tyres, Tyre movements and Tyre surveys are accurately recorded;
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOP) provided by the manufacturer of the Tyres;
- Comply with all HSES regulations for all work processes in the Tyre;
- Take responsibility for the work area and ensure a professional working environment and cleanliness at all times;
- Ensure the appropriate usage and handling of machines, tools and repair equipment;
- Ensure attendance is regular and that you are at your workplace during work times and that you start work promptly especially at the start of work and after the tea and lunch break;
- Ensure that all Tyre section accidents are reported to the Tyre Supervisor;
- Perform other tasks as may be required by the Tyres and/or the Workshop Manager

- Good interpersonal skills to deal with the Mechanics, Tyre Assistants and fellow employees during the day to day running of Stores.
- Hard worker, with good levels of energy, attentiveness and self-motivation.
- Goal orientated with delivery capabilities and good time management skills for basic Stores functions.
- Planning and organizational skills to be utilized in day-to-day activities.
- Decision making skills for on-the-spot choices in running of Stores and Second-hand Stores.
- Able to follow direct and indirect work orders issued by Managers.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and Managers.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to all relevant procedures and policies.
- Ensuring compliance with the Health, Safety, Environmental & Security and Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption policies.
- Available to pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

BACKGROUND/TECHNICAL COMPETENCES:

- Minimum requirements - Matric
- Others: English - Command of the spoken language and the ability to fit and strip truck tyres correctly.
- Time availability: willingness to work nights and weekends as workload requires;
WORKING HOURS
- 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.
- Weekend (as required)

SALARY

R 7 500 to R9 000

Pay: R7,500.00 - R9,000.00 per month
