Aviation Turner and Machinist

Gauteng, Kempton Park

Safair Operations, operating as Flysafair, has a vacancy for an Aviation Turner and Machinist at our head office in Bonaero Park. The successful applicant will report to the Manager: Maintenance.

RESPONSIBIITIES:

- Machine bushes for aircraft components;
- Design and manufacture of tooling for on and off aircraft use;
- To install and ream bushes on aircraft and components;
- To do on aircraft machining utilizing specialist machinist tooling;
- To assist Sheet Metal workers with complex and detailed processes on the aircraft;
- To sharpen reamers and specialised cutting tools;
- Will use Lathe and Milling machine to manufacture, repair or resize components for aircraft or components;
- Will assist the plant maintenance division with any tasks that would require machining for the Safair facility.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12;
- Trade as an Aviation Turner and Machinist;
- An SACAA AME B licence would be preferential;
- Must be able to read complex drawings of aircraft components;
- Minimum of 10 years Aviation Tuner and Machinist experience;
- Must have a clear understanding of the SACAA regulations.
