**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job title: Publishing Intern**

**Responsible to: Managing Director**

**Department: Publishing**

**Location of work: Rosebank, Johannesburg**
Main purpose of role
To assist in a range of marketing initiatives within the Publishing team, including tracking analytics for social media campaigns, creating social media posting schedules and writing captions for social media posts, brainstorms campaign ideas, and monitor various social media platforms

The role will also be responsible for ad hoc administrative support, including copyright reviews and checks as well as support at limited special events.

**Responsibilities**:

- Tracking of Social media trends
- Creating of social media posts
- Keeping track of social media platforms and replying to messages
- Create campaign ideas for different departments within the organization
- There may also be involvement in
- Special creative projects
- Industry events and client meetings
- Listening sessions
- Event / function logistics
- Studio work
- Creative pitching and A&R
- Administrative assistance for copyright administration tasks

Person specification
- Must **NOT** be a recording Artist or Aspiring recording artist
- Good written and spoken communications skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Social Media platform and uses
- Must be a self-starter who has strong problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Time Management: ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Good knowledge of musical trends, movements, and styles
- Attention to detail
- Enquiring mind
- Team player within small teams

Education
- Matric certificate. Diploma or Degree in Marketing or Public Relations, or Equivalent an Advantage
